Carl Duisberg Centren offers the telc C1 Hochschule examination for international university applicants. TestDaF is also recognized as proof of language proficiency for university studies in Germany.
The exam is for adults who have commenced university studies or have an academic profession. The exam provides proof of language skills to attend a German university. The certificate is recognized by all German universities and fulfills admission requirements.

TestDaF is a language test carried out by the TestDaF-Institut, which allows international applicants to gain proof of the required language proficiency to study at a German university. The test questions were developed by the TestDaF-Institut and the test is given at licensed TestDaF centers around the world on one pre-set date. Completed tests are corrected at the TestDaF-Institut in Germany. As a rule, you receive the test results six weeks after you have taken the test.
For each of the four test sections, test results are assigned to one of the following levels:
A test result with at least a TestDaF level 4 (TDN 4) in all four sections is recognized by all German universities as evidence of proficiency in German. If test results are below this level,the university may re-assess admission status or stipulate further language learning requirements.
