High School at a German Public School

Students benefit from a total immersion experience during a full or half-year stay in Germany. Most of our partner schools are in the Lake Constance region, but we are also happy to arrange for school placement in other locations.

Selected schools have various profiles and areas of specialization. Lessons in Geography, History, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Social Studies, etc. are in German and we recommend that students have at least level B2 (CEFR) language skills.

Students stay with homestay families who have been personally selected by Carl Duisberg Centren. Participants settle in, feel at home and meet friends quickly. At the beginning of the program, language skills are assessed to ensure that students have the required language proficiency. We recommend the High School Preparatory Program.

Age: 15 years or older
German language skills: min. B1 (CERF), recommended: B2
Schooling not yet completed in home country

Academic year: August/September to June/July
Term: January/February to June/July or August/September to January/February
Shorter stays available upon request (3 or 4 months)

Academic year: by the end of March
Term: by the end of March or the end of August
Shorter stays: at the latest 4 months before the start of the school term

Services Included

Enrollment at a school and placement in an appropriate grade
Accommodation and meals with a German homestay family, half board on school days and full board on the weekends and holidays
Support with visa matters
Insurance package (health, accident, and liability insurance)
Comprehensive support from the Carl Duisberg team in Radolfzell or a local region representative
